Motorola’s ZN200 has passed through the FCC hurdle. While new phones are always something to rejoice about, sometimes it’s a little hard to get too excited over a mid-range device. The ZN200 has the usual basic features such as a 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, video recording, Bluetooth, 2.5mm audio jack.
Motorola Releasing New Bluetooth Headset Optimized For In-Car Usage
Motorola is rolling out a pair of new Bluetooth headsets to be released in Q3, one fairly standard, the other a little more interesting.
First off, the H560 (the leftmost one) has a three-color light to indicate battery level, echo cancelation, noise reduction, automatic volume adjustment based on ambient noise and a selection of earpieces.
The other model, the H620 is more interesting, as it’s the first headset by Motorola to be optimized for in-car use, and none of the features seem to be specific to the model. The H620 comes with a dashboard headset holder and rapid car charger, which should be really handy for people who don’t want to drop the headset in some dingy glove compartment. Aside from that, it has the same features as the H560 such as auto volume adjustment and noise reduction.
Motorola UK has added full-length films for users to watch on their handsets for the first time as part of a deal with Paramount Digital Entertainment, and means that films such as Team America will be available for between £5.99 and £8.99.
Users will be required to download the films to their computers and then load them into the phone, which is a little more troublesome, but it does get the job done, so it’s better than nothing.
Unlocked Motorola Q9e Now Available Online
The Motorola Q9e is now available online through Motorola’s online store. The unlocked version uses Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard, and features a 2.4-inch landscape QVGA screen, microSD card expansion, quad-band GSM/EDGE, 2.0 megapixel camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth 2.0, Opera Mobile and a built-in GPS receiver.
Motorola is currently offering the Q9e in a bundle with its T815 external Bluetooth GPS module which comes with its MOTONAV software with full turn by turn navigation and spoken directions for $724.99.
It looks like Motorola Q9c owners on Sprint will be getting an early Christmas. They’ll be among the very first in the world to get an official Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade, which will include copy / paste functionality, threaded SMS, and a Getting Started guide. Under these circumstances, nobody would really blame these owners if they start flashing their latest OS update to their friends.
Motorola RAZR Vulnerable To Malicious JPEG
A vulnerability has been discovered in the phones that could allow a hacker to send a corrupt JPEG image via Multimedia Messaging Service that could be leveraged to run malicious code on the phone. However, you would have to accept the image for download before that could happen. The specific flaw exists in the JPEG thumbprint component of the EXIF parser, according to an advisory released by security firm TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative on Tuesday. Motorola has apparently fixed the vulnerability in their latest software that is available on their website, and they’re obviously urging people to download it.

Motorola's ZN5 A Bummer?
There has been a lot of hype about the supposedly Motorola superphone – The ZN5 (or ZINE). Many were hoping that this phone would be the phone that would give Motorola back some market share. Unfortunately, it’s been in the labs for an awfully long time, and it doesn’t seem to be showing the specs to justify the wait.
For starters, its connectivity stops at EDGE data, though it has WiFi, but most high end phones nowadays tend to come with HSDPA. The 5 megapixel camera that’s on the phone sounds impressive, until users find out that there is no autofocus.
Of course, the phone will have to be judged when its finally released, but things don’t look too good for the ZN5 at the moment.
Motorola CABO i890 Spy Shots
When the first bits of information regarding the CABO appeared, it revealed a good looking, feature rich iDEN phone. This phone originally seemed to be the iDEN variant of the RAZR2, but branded under the CABO series. Its model number is expected to be i890, so it will probably be known as the Motorola CABO i890.
This time, spy shots of this phone have emerged, proving that it isn’t just a rumor. This picture shows a piano black reflective finish, as opposed to the original dark bronze, so users can expect plenty of color options from this model.
It seems as if the internal keypad is like that of the ROKR E8, visualizing different keys, depending on what menu the user is using. The camera is supposedly a non-standard 3.1 megapixel variant.
Though there isn’t any information on the availability of this unannounced phone, but it was previously said to be released in Q4, with Sprint Nextel being the first carrier to offer it in the U.S.
