It might be a “why didn’t I think of that" innovation, or it might leave people scratching their heads at the logic of this new device, but nobody can say that it isn’t interesting. BluePOINTER is the world’s first 3-in-1 Bluetooth headset, complete with laser pointer and LED flashlight.

This ultra-compact design includes the normal features of a Bluetooth headset, but also includes a laser pointer, which allows remote scrolling of PC presentations, as well as a LED flashlight. The laser pointer can either be utilized as a standalone pointer, or it can be paired with a HID profile supported PC and enable users to remotely scroll through their presentations.

This BluePOINTER is currently going for $90 at Brando.

For users planning to go to this year’s Glastonbury, forgetting to bring their mobile charger may not be the end of the world anymore. It’s reported that Orange will be erecting a seven-meter high recharge Pod tend for users to stop by and recharge their handsets.

The tent boasts 500-watt solar panels and a 500-watt wind turbine to generate electricity of the tired phones, and Orange is hoping to perk up 100 devices per hour. Now if only they made such things available on streets.

Reding is also looking to reduce the cost of text messaging for Europeans while they are abroad from their home country.

Mobiado has just unveiled its latest luxury handsets, the Professional 105 EM and the 105 GCB, which come in wood and gold respectively. Both have the same specifications, which include quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band WCDMA (850/2100MHz) connectivity, 2 megapixel camera that can be used as a video camera, and 1GB of internal memory.

The Professional 105 EM follows the tradition of the Executive Model series in using rare hardwoods in its construction. It’s available in Cocobolo and Ebony, which are named after the hardwoods used. The hardwood panels are machined from the same piece of wood to ensure the consistency in the grains. The frame is made of anodized aluminum, with sapphire crystal buttons painted black for a quality finish.

The Professional 105 GCB is framed in brass, and layered with a 5 micron thick 24-karat gold plating. The buttons are also sapphire crystal, but pained with 24-karat gold, along with the lettering on the handset.

The pricing and availability of both these phones have not been announced yet.

3UK has just introduced mobile Skype for business, and they apparently plan to create tariffs for sub-20 person business/self-employed, and throw in free Skype calling.

These tariffs are post-paid, and thus, do not require regular top ups, as most users of 3’s prepaid will know that monthly top ups are a very regular fixture. Aside from that, users can also enjoy free normal mobile calls to other 3UK subs, and call back to the UK whilst roaming, at UK rates. Users don’t even have to be using a Skype phone, they could just use a N95 or TyTN II.

Though it’s gone through a series of delays, it looks like HP is finally ready to release its iPAQ900 series Business Phone. Though the specifications haven’t changed, it doesn’t look as technologically advanced now as it did then. Having said that, it’s specs are still interesting as it comes with Windows Mobile 6.1, 2.46-inch display, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA, 3 megapixel camera and an 1800mAh battery.

This phone should start shipping worldwide starting June 30th, though specific dates will probably vary throughout different parts of the globe.

The HSDPA and QVGA display might have been more interested if it were released a few months ago, though it does sport a pretty looking keyboard with a blue lighting. Currently, users will be hoping that it will have a Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade though.

For users who want push email on the Verizon Wireless handsets, this might be just the thing. RemoSync, the latest hotcake application enables a couple of the Carrier’s handsets to get Exchange-hosted email pushed directly to them. Users who purchase the application will be able to read, compose, reply, delete, forward emails, download Outlook contacts and view calendar events.

One thing that is a tad confusing is the pricing scheme. It’ll cost users $9.99 per month, and though a data plan isn’t required, those without a data plan will be charged $1.99 per megabyte (or “airtime”) when using RemoSync.

KTF is offering a new SMS service that allows users to send a handwritten message over mobile phone networks, called “Font of Your Own” service.

This new service requires users to download a necessary application and setup the idle screen before opening the folder to generate the font by sending the mobile photograph of 33 handwritten letters.

The download of the application and registration of the fonts are free of data usage fees. Customers can create of change fonts on their PC’s using a font editing program.
